Sometimes bigger is better. The Boa’s unique shape provides you with huge amounts of space. A great choice for belaying or any situation that requires a large, high capacity locking biner.

Plenty of internal space for Munter Hitch, your favorite belay devices or multiple ropes and anchor slings. Nest a couple of BOAs on your harness for a big wall or winter climb - perfect for "tying in short" or use with gloves. 2 stage LOCKSAFE adds an extra margin of security.

• Large capacity belay/locking biner.

• 3 locking gate options.

• User friendly shape.

Exist in screw gate, quick-lock or locksafe

I belay using a Munter's hitch. The Boa is roomy enough to belay even with thick double ropes. The ruond upper corner means that the hitch nevver blocks as it can in smaller carabiners but also in equally large carabiners with a more pointy upper corner.

The upper end of the opening is round and slim - very good for prying into some complicated rope-knot-set-up without damagin the rope. And similarly to take out again without it getting stuck as a fishing hook.

Handles nicely with gloves and has space for complicated riggins. Still, it is fairly slim and does not take up too much space on a rack.

Even after 4 rather intense years of belaying, The gate and screw work perfect.

A nice big auto locker I use for belaying. Big easy to use auto locking gate. Sturdy aluminum construction. Not like the petzel which is all plastic with a plastic button locking device, what the hell is Wal mart carrying biners now? Anyway, not this bad boy very good build quality, easy to use gate that can be opened with one hand.

Perfect belay biner for cragging, gym climbing, etc. where weight is not an issue. Has a huge gate opening. Solid construction. Autolock works well and is very smooth. Heavier than most other belay biners. I don't think I would take it when weight is an issue. Perfect for most applications though.
