Denali, Aconcagua, Himalaya... mountaineering in its extreme sense. These are places where mistakes cannot be made and so the Bison Super is most often chosen to serve. DryLoft™ fabric makes this bag impervious to the elements while remaining lightweight and very compressible. Crammed with 42 ounces of 850+ fill power down this bag has 10 abundant inches of heat trapping loft. Huge V-Block Side Baffles and horizontal baffles across your chest keep the down fill in place. Double Interlocking Draft Tubes and a down filled DryLoft™ collar seal in heat and security while howling winds surround your tent. The massive hood is not only well filled but is completely made with DryLoft™ fabric and has a large integral hood ruff to seal your face from the elements. The Bison Super is the crowning glory of Western Mountaineering and demonstrates our commitment to innovation and quality. This life saving bundle weighs in at a scant 4 lb. 10 oz.

I have used my WM Bison on Everest (2X), Ama Dablam, Denali and others. It is very, very warm ... I have never gotten cold. It is somewhat bulky nad hard to get into a comperssion bag but I would not goa bove 20,000' without it!

I've used a Bison SDL on both Denali and Mount Washington, NH. In -30F temps wearing one pair of mid-weigh underwear I've never been cold. For a -40F bag it packs very small and is easier to fit into a large, Granite Gear air compressor than a regular stuff sack.

As the others have said, this bag is warm. Also, it vents out moisture fairly well, and have noticed only a slight reduction in loft over 10+ day trips in cold weather (but the bag is so warm it doesn't matter!) For those that have trouble stuffing it, try flipping it inside out before jamming it in, the interior material is more air-permeable. Human-stuff volume is about 30L, in my eVent comp sack (XL) I get it down to about 17x11" or 18L. It's big, it's warm, it will NOT let you down.
