Product Description

This is the Original Burton Splitboard. It featured Burton's own interface system. The interface system locked a metal plate with a lever around a disc on the top sheet of the board. the ring was split in half where the board splits. The Plates also have a set of pins that engage into the touring bracket holes to provide a pivot in ski mode.

Burton sold these boards as a complete package. You got the Splitboard, Skins (which also had a unique Burton way of mounting with the use of pins and hooks)and a set of Crampons. You provided your choice of standard snowboard bindings.

This system is no longer made (2006 was the last year) because of a Lawsuit from Voile and the fact that the system was prone to failures.
