The CH-10 is a flexible 10 point crampon designed for winter hikes and general mountaineering. The front points are still able to frontpoint when neccesary. Classic strap-in configuration. Fits most boots sized from 5 to 15. |

Voted 4/5 | Cheap price form campmor allowed me to get these. They have worked well so fars and have done a great job on winter and couloir climbs. These are the perfect crampons for climbers who are wanting to save some dough. | | Posted Dec 28, 2005 1:41 am | | erykmynn | How does it compare
Voted 4/5 | Is is steel or aluminium? I guess it's steel?
Does anyone know how it compares with say, the Black Diamond Contact? | | Posted Apr 30, 2008 1:39 pm | | friday | Not a nice, but probably as tough
Hasn't voted | They are steel. I dont have the black Diamond Contact, but I do own the Black Diamond Neve Pro crampons. Aside from the lack of ABS plates, they seem similar. The foot sizing mechanism could be a tad better, but it seems tough enough for me @ 175lbs. Besides, I bought these for my daughter, and she is only around 100lbs or so. A good backup pair as well.
Edit: They broke on me yesterday. So, If you use stiff boots, these might work for you. If you wear softer boots, forget these. They'll eventually break. | | Posted Jun 18, 2008 10:24 pm | | erykmynn | on for size
Voted 4/5 | I ended up getting these. They fit mine and my girlfriends boots perfectly. I'm not sure how tough some of the hardware will turn out to be but they seem like a solid crampon. We used them on a short, summer snow climb... so far so good! | | Posted Jul 23, 2008 12:42 pm |
