This pack kick's ice! The "noggin notch" has spoiled me, as I now turn my nose up to my other packs on any helmet wearing adventure. The external crampon pouch and tool flaps have weep holes in them to let the snow/ice melt out - very nice. A seam sealed side zip allows quick access to items stowed in the bottom of your pack.

My only wish is that the hip belt was removable. I have Osprey, Black Diamond and Dana Design packs. I'd have to say that the Ice Fang is right up there with Osprey and Dana (sorry BD - keep up the R&D)
