The clean design of this convertible climbing pack pleases alpine purists. Trick materials withstand years of abuse, Hypalon™ straps stop ski slippage and dual daisy chains haul a heap of hardware.

I have had this for years and it is the sickest bag I have ever used. The gear loops and holsters on the hip belt are realyl useful. What I found really cool about it was that virtually everything comes off. The pack weighs I think 4lb 14oz factory and after stripping off the top pocket, the hapalon patch, excess straps, replacing the padded hip belt with the webbing one, and replacing the frame sheet with a ground pad the pack (without the groudpad) weighed in at 1lb 12oz and still carried around 3500 cu in. A great buy, the perfect size for using on lightweight trips where a little extra room is wanted. Plus the spectra woven ripstop is bombproof. I have comfortably carried 40-50 lbs in this no problem.

The only downside I have found is that the framesheet uses 2 aluminum stays, so if you keep the sheet in you have the extra weight of the stay when you probably only need one.
