User remarks

This camera is amazing, from shooting lightning storms, to waterfalls, its an absolute dream. Its ability to shoot 3.5 f/s is wonderful on animals or even children moving around, also fireworks and sunsets. I would recommend the IS lenses for this camera if you really want your shots to be amazing. Indoor/outdoor its always amazing. The external flash I have not yet tried, but when I have one, I will add more, and hopefully someone out has some more in put on this item.

Personal note: I was in a roll-over accident in late July, 2008, and the camera survived without a scratch, while I received 5 broken bones, so yes, its very durable!

Pro/cons

Pro's: -LOTS!!! read above
-Automatic lens cleaner is great!
-Comes with very decent hardware for editing and panorama shots.

Cons: -kinda loud shutter
-sometimes takes a few moments to catch up from last picture
-still heavier than point-and-shoot, but also shoots 12.2mp shots
