Voted 4/5 | ...I like the MSR Titan Tea Kettle better! I don't like it that the lid on this Snowpeak pot doesn't lock on. That's a nice feature on the MSR kettle. Also, this lid isn't Ti, it's made of a heavier material (steel?) But I do like the slot that allows you to drain liquid off, say from your pasta that you're cooking. Someday maybe they'll make a pot that has a slot in its Ti lid and one that also locks on! | | Posted Jan 23, 2007 8:53 pm | | J.J. | Awesome pot
Voted 5/5 | This is a durable little guy. My wife and i got it last year some time as a backup because the jetboil we had was acting up. Well needless to say the jetboil died (F-Jetboils) This pot and, a little Esbit stove became our primary cook combo. They work every time and are light as hell. Highly suggested!!! | | Posted Mar 20, 2007 11:28 pm | | CrazySanMan | Great pot
Hasn't voted | I use this pot and a Snowpeak 450 Ti cup on an MSR Pocket Rocket stove. The cup, the stove, a Light My Fire spork, two cigarette lighters, and several single-serving sized packets of instant coffee all fit inside this pot. The entire kit is very lightweight.
I keep this kit in my trunk when I'm not in the woods and often use it on road trips to make coffee during bio breaks at rest areas on the highway. I also carry it to my kids' favorite sledding hill in the winter so we can make hot chocolate right there on the hill. This pot will hold enough water for two mugs of coffee or hot chocolate and it holds the 2 cups of boiling water needed for most freeze-dried meals. | | Posted Sep 8, 2008 6:53 am |
