Voted 2/5 | I purchased the shoes after a summer of bruising my achilles tendon from falling scree, and wet feet from stream crossings.
These shoes are not designed for mountain abuse at all. They were very comfortable but after only a few uses the soles were shot. The rubber on the inside was worn down and around the edge it was coming off.
The good news is that Montrail fully warrantied them and promised me that the 2004 model will have a firmer sole.
If you were going to stay to the trail and desired a lightweight shoe that provides ankle protection and is waterproof this is best shoe out there | | Posted Dec 10, 2003 5:12 pm |
