This OR balaclava is more contoured than most to make it fit better. A stretch-mesh-covered breathing port graces the front since WindStopper fleece blocks all air flow. This allows vast amounts of your breath to escape forward rather than being deflected upward towards your goggles or glasses.

If this balaclava is the OR Sonic, then that's the one I have and the one I'm reviewing here.

Windstopper fleece, and a nice mesh cover in front of the mouth to keep your breath from fogging your goggles. This was/is the primary reason I bought this one. There is also a hole for your nose to drain so as not to snot up the fabric and also acts as a vent to keep from fogging the goggles.

Nice fit, I got a medium and I have a big noggin' (7.25" hat size) so these may run big. I picked it up for $34. I wear a BD Half-Dome helmet and this fits beneath it well.

OR makes great gear, this balaclava does not fit tight enough though. Specifically it needs to be tighter around the mouth area not around the neck itself. Windstopper is a must, they do a good job with that.
