Voted 4/5 | This is the best down Parka you can get for the money. It is very light and incredibly warm. The hood is insulated and will fit over a helmet. I have used this belaying while ice climbing in frigid single digit temps in a cold wet canyon and I have used this on 6000 m peaks in Peru. It packs down pretty small as well. I would take this anywhere I would be too cold in my MH Chugach jacket. | | Posted Nov 15, 2005 10:51 am | | LINKALPA | Good Buy! | |
Voted 4/5 | I have few complaints about this parka, it's light(under 2lbs)packs down small, and sheds a good amount of moisture for not even claiming to be water repellent. The shell is thin so you have to be carefull around the sharp stuff, but thats a trade off for the weight. I sleep in this in addition to my 32deg moonstone bag and have never been cold in temps down to 8-10f. Good purchase all around. | | Posted Feb 6, 2007 12:42 am |
