Larger frame and redesigned gate opening offer quick, easy one-handed operation and improved security.

Autolocking gate opens by depressing a spring-loaded green ball on gate allowing locking sleeve to turn; gate returns when released

Unique, patented Keylock gate uses a key-shaped nose on carabiner and slot-shaped gate to create a strong, snag-free closure

Large gate opening makes it easier to clip in

Made of high-strength aluminum rod stock for superior strength and durability

These are great auto locking carabiners. Strong and light they should be on every climbers harness even if you are just belaying top rope. I have been using mine for years and have had no problems with them failing to lock.

Very strong 28 Kn rating is conservative. Petzle, DMM and BD are the only three companies that I know of that rate their gear so that 99.9 percent of them will fail at or above the listed rating.

The 23mm opening is one or two mm smaller than some others but is fine for everything I have done with it including trad climbing.

I can operate the gate one handed using winter gloves but it can take some getting used to for many. Once you practice with it you will never think about it, but before you get used to it some people will balk at it. The extra safety gained buy having the ball lock is nice to have.

I really should retire my first one because I have used it for years but it still works well and shows very little signs of wear or abuse so I hate to retire it!

One of the few carabiner to use with the descender PIRANA as well made by Petzl, it is easy to handle even wearing gloves. I give it five stars...

Very strong and good to handle carabiners, I like this system, the only thing is the price, the biners are very expensive but also extreme durable
