The Happy Hooker is an original nut, hex, SLC extractor design by Ed Leeper and Robert Culp and manufactured by Ed Leeper.

It looks like a leg with a boot on the foot.. You can pound the stuck object or hook it with the boot. I found that it worked well in granite, quartzite sandstone and gneiss.

I tried a few pitons for nut extractors before coming across this. Ed Leeper had been writing articles about dire consequences on protection due to a more less static belay. When I saw that he was making this with an eye toward extracting overcammed friends I got one. I was always able to get stuff out with this. The little hook and the four finger holes work quite well.
