Eclipse

Big hands, lots of gear, heavy gloves. The Eclipse can handle it with ease. Put an end to fumbled clips forever. Its super wide gate opening and deep basket make the Eclipse ideal for anyone wanting more working space from their biners.

• Huge gate opening.

• Easy clipping.

• Perfect for any use.

Big enough to clip two counter-pulling pieces of protection and a double rope or whatever might be needed. Yet still reasonably light and slim so that they don't fill up the rack.

My quickdraw rack consist of some DMM Proclips on 12cm dynema and some Eclipses on 30 cm dynema (doubled to 15 cm unless I need the extra length for complicated anchors or to prevent rope drag). This way, I have a very versatile rack without too much weight.

Though I have never had a carabiner of any brand failing on me, I trust the DMM carabiners more than some other, and they have a nice snap making them perfect for stress reduction toys in the office.

Only down-side is the price. Only if found on sale are they competitive. (Make sure to pick up some if you go to UK).
