The technical axe and hammer come complete with wrist loops. They are one piece steel heads (non interchangerble) with reverse curve picks . |

Voted 5/5 | The Hornet axe and Hammer, represent great value for money.
The tools are light and comfortable to use and are secure on steep technical ground upto Scottish grade V.
Highly reccommended for climbers who want reliable gear on a budget. | | Posted Apr 24, 2003 11:31 am | | Scuzzystudent | Untitled Review | | Voted 3/5 | I got the 45cm pair as my first set of tools, thought they were great, nice and light, well balanced and the grip was just the right size for my hands. My only reservations were the fact i managed to bent the head of my axe (not much use for those torqueing moves so prevalent in Scottish winter climbing) and the rounded hammer, which prevents you from camming it into a crack. I guess if you're using them purely for ice then they're a good choice. | | Posted Aug 8, 2005 11:24 am |
