is not a strong enough word.
I have uesed them quite a few times but if it is cold (-10) and sunny, or if there is water or snow about the socket for the gate ball fills with snow too easily and freezes to ice and ball will not go in, or the ball will get covered with snow and ice and the ball will not go into the socket, sometimes snow will work its way into the socket, turn to ice and force the gate open. All in all not a good thing to happen.
All of these things have happend to me while using these biners and some of them more than once. Needless to say these are only for my summer rack now.
They still are an excilent biner and I will give them 5 for summer user but in winter or snowy alpine work I would give them a 0 if I could.
