Voted 4/5 | I use this shirt all of the time. Works great for working out, summer sports, as a second or base layer in the mountains. Very breathable and just the right weight.
The only thing I don't like is the neck. It is too loose, and lets air in when its cold. | | Posted Dec 17, 2002 4:40 pm | | dsnell | Untitled Review
Voted 5/5 | Patagonia underwear is definitely worth the few extra bucks. My lightweight Zip T has been an excellent choice for climbs in moderate temperatures, and has also worked well in colder temperatures as a base layer beneath an expedition weight shirt. The fabric is comfortable against the skin and does an excellent job of wicking away moisture. I've worn mine even in warm temperatures (on the descent) and I never feel overheated. | | Posted Aug 6, 2003 11:20 pm | | ktnbs | Untitled Review
Voted 4/5 | I got my first lighweight longsleeve crew in 95 It was my basic underlayer and outerlayer for forestry field work in Souteast Alaska for 7 years. Finally got too holey on the lower sleeves (devils club, etc) and dropped it off at the Salvation Army last year.
Wore it under my hickory shirt in the summer and under a wool shirt in the cooler seasons. | | Posted Nov 15, 2003 12:08 am | | William Marler | Untitled Review
Voted 4/5 | Very comfortable and versatile. Weighs nothing. I can wear this anywhere as it breathes so well. I have been tempted to use this instead of the expedition weight on occasion as it works almost as well warmth wise. Excellent product. Long lasting. | | Posted May 21, 2004 11:20 am | | Luka Znidarcic | Untitled Review | | Voted 5/5 | I have 3 of these shirts--excellent base layer.
This shirt is very lightweight and quite breathable. Way comfortable--I wear this shirt pretty much everywhere. | | Posted Jan 24, 2005 11:22 pm | | montanaboy | Untitled Review
Voted 5/5 | The Patagonia Lightweight Zip T is my favorite base layer and functions exactly as advertised. Weather permitting, I wear it regularly as my only layer or as a base under a long sleeve.
The half zip is great for temperature regulation and is a feature I prefer compared to a crew style. I agree with Martin that the neck is loose, but it has been a non-issue with me. Each individual will have to decide for themselves.
I'm with William on this one, excellent product. | | Posted Feb 7, 2006 12:36 am |
