Voted 4/5 | I use this shoe as an approach shoe. Good solid frame, comfortable and vents fairly well. Sole is solid but can be a tad slippery on some rock. Would be amaizing if the sole was of the same material as 5-10 shoes. Overall I am satified with this shoe. | | Posted Dec 13, 2002 10:01 am | | Jeff Moore | Untitled Review | |
Voted 3/5 | A fine shoe I guess, I also found mine too slippery on bare rock. A little firm for me, I prefer a softer shoe, more shock absorbant than these. For the price, I believe there are better shoes out there. | | Posted Jul 25, 2003 1:00 pm | | mconnell | Untitled Review | | Voted 4/5 | I use these as approach shoes, hiking/backpacking shoes, everyday shoes. For approach shoes and shorter hiking trips (where I'm not carrying too much) these are excellent shoes. With much of a load on my back, my feet will get a bit sore after a few hours but then they aren't designed for carrying big loads. I'm not impressed with their climbing ability. Rubber doesn't stick well and the tread design isn't the best. The edges aren't stiff enough for edging on.
Overall a good hiking shoe but I would prefer an approach shoe that climbs better than these.

Voted 4/5 | Great shoe. My feet got a little sore with a 40 lb pack but than they're not designed for that. They are a litlle loose on wet rocks but good for trail running. | | Posted Dec 1, 2003 6:50 pm |
