what most of you need, like $4..the other one is $9 at backcountry.com and covers the axe end as well if you don't have hammers

these are nice to have you your not on the mountain..ie when your traveling to and from. On a pack, I find that they get in the way

I poped a hole in my friends pack once on a trip. Stoped for gas and noticed that it had worked its way throu his pack. Dint hurt anything so no prob there. Will not happen again. I got one now..
