Voted 5/5 | This little kettle is perfect for the soloist. Will hold almost 3 cups of water which is perfect for most backpacker foods needing only 2 cups. It has a handle...but be careful...the handle gets very hot. The best thing is that the little 3.8 oz Snow Peak fuel bottle fits right inside for easy storage. | | Posted Dec 2, 2002 8:03 pm | | Lee Stamm | Untitled Review
Voted 5/5 | I have used this kettle for a number of years. It is a superb piece of durable, minimum weight, multi-purpose cooking gear. Highly recommended.
Modifications I have found useful:
Paint the exterior of the kettle with heatproof black stove/grill paint. This results in more efficient heat transfer and reduced fuel consumption.
Drill out the hole in the lid to 1/4 inch diameter, which helps to limit unexpected boilovers.
Caveat: As noted in the prior review, the handle can get hot after long heatings, so be careful when picking it up.

Voted 5/5 | This thing is light and compact. I bring it everywhere I go. Hell I use the thing at home to cook sometimes. I use it to melt snow, cook dinner and as a cup afterwards. | | Posted Apr 20, 2005 2:05 pm | | tarol | Used to own this kettle
Voted 5/5 | And I loved it. It got stolen and I decided to try a Snowpeak kettle, but I regret not buying this one again. I like the locking lid and it was the perfect size... | | Posted Jan 23, 2007 8:38 pm | | rayray | Just the right size
Voted 5/5 | This kettle is the perfect size for the solo backpacker or small groups. Light and small. 0.85 liter capacity. I've marked mine on the inside in 1/2 cup increments to the 3-cup level. An 8oz. fuel can stows inside the kettle perfectly to save room. | | Posted May 31, 2007 11:04 pm |
