Voted 5/5 | I usually carry a set of Wild Country Rocks for stoppers, but also picked up a set of the DMM Alloy Offsets recently. The offsets work great in Yosemite granite, and a number of other crags I've climbed at.
I usually rack them with the two largest DMM Peenuts and the two largest HB brass offsets (which I hear DMM is due to re-introduce next season) for free climbing.
The current batch has some issues with the nuts sliding up the wire too easily for most people. Apparently this is so that they can be used on bolts with missing hangers, and other such techniques. Most people seem to apply some epoxy to keep them on the end of the wire though. DMM representatives say next season's offsets will be epoxied at the factory. | | Posted Nov 28, 2008 3:32 pm |
