Product Description

This set of DMM Offsets gives you the versatility to protect flaring crack pitches that would otherwise warrant a serious runout. Ideal for both trad and aid climbing, DMM Offsets seat securely in places where regular nuts and cams just won't work. With these anodized aluminum nuts on your rack, previously un-protected stretches of rock become a cakewalk.

Dow Williamsa must

Voted 5/5

DMM brought back the offset nuts. A must in the southern desert sandstone flaring cracks and damn handy in the Canadian Rockies as well. Only set I carry now. Have no idea why I would need any others.

rhyangGreat in Sierra granite !

Voted 5/5

I usually carry a set of Wild Country Rocks for stoppers, but also picked up a set of the DMM Alloy Offsets recently. The offsets work great in Yosemite granite, and a number of other crags I've climbed at.

I usually rack them with the two largest DMM Peenuts and the two largest HB brass offsets (which I hear DMM is due to re-introduce next season) for free climbing.

The current batch has some issues with the nuts sliding up the wire too easily for most people. Apparently this is so that they can be used on bolts with missing hangers, and other such techniques. Most people seem to apply some epoxy to keep them on the end of the wire though. DMM representatives say next season's offsets will be epoxied at the factory.

squishyBest nuts

Voted 5/5

Best nuts I've ever used, I have since purchased doubles and triples of the smaller two. The #7 fits just about everywhere and I tend to use multiples on every pitch on Serra granite. Thanks DMM...

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
