AlpinistHelps a little...

Voted 3/5

The Trillium stove base does help to provide stability and reduce melt out on snow - but just a little. Inevitably, one corner always seems to melt down even with the Trillium, and there goes your stability.

Placing a simple kitchen pot holder, which is also lightweight and packable, under it might help to insulate it and reduce melt out.

Also, the clips that connect to the stove legs are very cumbersome to use. They are very poorly designed. It is difficult to get them to clip on, and stay on. You have to be very careful when you move the stove so the base doesn't fall off.
