Voted 5/5 | These pants are great! Took them to the
Dacks on a very wet trip and they kept me 100% dry. Very comfortable to move in, very ventilation functional, light-weight yet built extremely tough, and bibs are the way to go. Gripper cuffs are reinforced with velcro, and they stayed out around my boots, providing further water protection without gaiters. Not only that, they look stylish too! Highly recommend. | | Posted Oct 24, 2002 7:51 am | | natec007 | Untitled Review
Voted 5/5 | Nice light weight waterproof layer, great for skiing and alpine climbs. Good ventilation and great cuffs, I love the high waist but not a full bib.
I did tear mine right after getting them when I snagged a rock glissading, duct taped them for the season then sent them back for repair. Arc'teryx wanted $45 to fix them and after some "heavy" negotiating they decided to split the cost with me, the repair job was excellent, can't even tell they were torn but the customer service was horrible.
They are exactly what I wanted - no insulation, light weight and excellent fit. | | Posted Jul 21, 2004 9:25 pm | | simple man | Untitled Review | | Voted 5/5 | I can't believe the last person called these stylish. They look like plain old bibs to me. Fortunately, they perform as well as anything I've used before, and for less weight. These pants are the real deal: the gore-tex xcr is obviously outstanding, the fit is great for me, and I love Arc 'teryx's laminated pocket's and waterproof zipper construction. If you can get a deal on these, they will serve you well. | | Posted Oct 20, 2004 1:21 am | | nutkey | Untitled Review | | Voted 5/5 | These have been the best shell pants i've ever used. Working as a mountain guide and a member of a Mountain Rescue Team, in wet North Wales, UK, they've never leaked, the fit is superb and leg articulation is very good. Have worn these over shorts in winter and been warm and dry with very little condensation. A superb piece of kit I paid £180 trade, but would not pay the £300 retail price. | | Posted Sep 10, 2005 6:40 pm | | Bignick | best of its kind
Hasn't voted | Very light, perfect to pack for mountaineering, BC skiing, or shoeing. Easily removed with heavy boots and crampons on, keep you dry and wind out. Unzip the sides for ventilation if getting too hot. Best type of bib like pant I've seen. | | Posted Feb 12, 2007 6:32 am |
