Initial Review

While I have only used these pants for a couple of trips (Washington, Whitney and Tyndall, all in winter) I absolutely love them. These will definitely replace my Patagonia Ready Mix pant as my softshell option. The low volume waist band with integrated belt really help keep the pants from going 'gangsta' due to a heavy pack. They breath very well, even before using the thigh zipper vents to prevent overheating. I really like the zip off scree gaiter, and have started using just these for any possible postholing/crampon use. The material is quite durable and has resisted abrasion/snags/tears due to rock and tree branch exposure. The pant is cut much trimmer than the Ready Mix or Mammut Champ pant that I have used previously. I foresee using these pants with great delight for many years to come!
