Voted 3/5 | for sure. I used to subscribe to this back in the day. I still grab a copy from the news stand every now and then if there is an article that captures my interest. Lots of good photo's and info on selected hikes all over the country. I just don't travel enough or hike enough anymore to justify a subscription. Voted 5/5 | This is an awesome magazine for people who like to backpack and explore the great outdoors. The articles are well written and interesting. Each month the magazine highlights different wilderness destinations around the continent. I enjoy reading about new places to go and looking at their beautiful photos.
Both novice and more advanced outdoor enthusiasts should find the tips and techniques very informative. They include useful suggestions for a wide variety of topics such as cross training, medical advice, ways to reduce pack weight, wildlife tips, and camp recipes.
