This pack is a weight concious versions of our Crescent and Luna 90 models. We use tough, lightweight materials, trim off the panel zip access, and remove the Solo Excessory to pare down weight. The ReCurve Suspension retains its outstanding carry though, using composite struts and our standard 3/4" stays. We offer it in small medium and large to cover the size range for both genders. Simply outfit it with the appropriate harness/hipbelt combo.

Voted 4/5 | This is simply the most comfortable pack I have ever carried. I bought it on sale ($275) because I knew it was lighter than other packs of equivalent capacity. Osprey has the carry wired! The new 2002 waist belt has a dual point draw on either side that comes together in the front to distribute weight more evenly. Look for this design to be copied. No pressure points in the shoulder harness, simply great. The mesh pocket one the front of the pack is great for shell clothing, gloves, hat, etc. It also accepts Osprey accessory packs for added capacity. (And weight)
The negative facors. Because of the nessesarily lighter material it does not take abuse as well as heavier packs. This pack is a load hauler, not a climbing pack. It does not climb as well as my Gregory Gravity because of the bulk and different (lower)carry.
One more point, it has dual ice tool loops but no upper lash point to secure your tools. You have to secure the upper end of your tools through the compression 'straight jacket'. I have not found this a hinderance though.
This is not the pack to choose for a quick alpine rock route, but for longer trips or expedtions, or for times you may need more capacity where hauling is not an issue this is a great one.
Update 2004: Used this pack for technical expedtion climb on Mt. Logan. It performed exceptionally. I have changed my mind however about the mesh panel on the back. Not a good idea in winter or snow conditons. It collects snow and is difficult to remove, making you carry it. For me personally this pack is superior to the Arc Teryx Bora 95. Hasn't voted | I did a lot of research before climbing Denali in 2005 and bought the Aether 90. It carried very well. I've used in on long pack trips in Colorado after that. Voted 5/5 | I was looking for this pack as was a little worried that there wouldn't be enough pockets to carry items in. However, I found that w/o the pockets, I don't bring as much crap with me.
