Introduced in summer 2005

The original Wild country Rocks now called classic rocks are one of the best selling piece of pro’ ever but as the design had changed little for 20 years Wild Country felt it was time to ‘re-invigorate the design’.
The new Rocks are very similar to the old ones but with a few modernisations and refinement to the design. The most obvious change is that they are now colour anodised and new sizes 11-14 are now available but there are also some other changes.

Four new sizes 11 – 14
The larges sizes are equivalent in size to Rockcentrics and make a wired alternative. Rock 11 ≈ Rockcentric 3 and Rock 14 ≈ Rockcentric 8.

Thinner & Lighter
The side walls of sizes 7-14 have been re-worked in order to optimise strength to weight ratio. For example the old sizes 7 – 10 weighed 216 grams / 8.5 oz with the new sizes at 186 grams / 7.3 oz this is a ~14% saving.

Anodised colour coding
The new rocks are anodised to make distinguishing the sizes faster, there colours are coordinated with all other wild country gear and DMM Wallnuts. This means if they are the same colour they are equivalent sizes.

Tapered sides
To give more solid side ways placements a five degree side cut was added.
