Voted 2/5 | The Silva Forecaster is slightly improved over the similar Brunton version. Neither is very useful for navigation beyond just a general reckoning. The thermometer is glued in and is prone to popping out... mine did anyway.
My recommendation is to save your money and buy a real compass. If you want one for general reckoning, I recommend one that you put on your wristband or a Nalgene bottle top with a small compass set in the middle. | | Posted Aug 30, 2002 10:55 am |
