Product DescriptionThe probe for the ultimate use for professionals. For all that need more than 240 cm, this probe can be lengthened by any 40 or 60 cm tube, put the probe head on it and go. Thanks to the larger diameter of 13 mm and the steel cable it is still extremely strong and thanks to the carbon, flexible and unbreakable. The practical flip fastener, the new cable assembly system with T-grip and CLIP fixation and the "conic" tube segments allow an assemblage in a flash. The extra larger heads of the probe drill a bore channel being larger than the diameter of the probe so that the probe can be pulled out easily and doesn't freeze. Exact markings of depth for indicating the depth of burial.

Voted 5/5 | to your system....again, like most in this category, this is overkill unless you spend a lot of time backcountry skiing. My closest moments at odds with mother nature have been on skis (check out a trip report or two). I am also a huge weight savings guy...my wife bought me the ava lung and I never carry it (although I should). I was given several of these to try out in a course up north. I would assume Ortovox is doing as good a job as anyone on these. The AAA batteries are insulated, of course still carry it in your pocket.
