Reviews | Rob Ricks | A nice piece of kit
Voted 5/5 | I didn't appreciate how well this layer works until I was standing on a windy Mt. Hood summit and briefly unzipped the front of the shirt while adjusting my gear. The breeze cut through the unzipped portion like a knife (April weather). As soon as I re-zipped, everything was fine. I was amazed. I did make the mistake of not having a waterproof layer over the shirt on a rainy descent of Rainier. It doesn't take much to get wet. But it is a WIND shirt...not a rain jacket. | | Posted Jun 6, 2008 12:52 pm | | iHeartTheChallenge | Original DriClime Windshirt
Voted 5/5 | This is probably one of my favorite pieces of gear for its great versatility. I bought this on a recommendation from friend and fellow SP'er Rob Ricks and I've been pleased with it since day one. It keeps the wind out like a champ and can deal with very light precipitation. Anything more than sprinkles and it will get soaked pretty quickly, but snow seems to just brush off of it with no real issues. I use this as an active mid-layer on top of my Capilene 2 shirt. In windy weather it keeps me from getting too chilled when I begin to sweat, but it breaths wonderfully, especially from the underarm mesh areas. | | Posted Sep 28, 2008 2:22 am |
