Voted 5/5 | This map is the best specialist mountaineering map available in Britain by far. The cartography is clear and easy to read and the symbols are logicaly chosen and do not too intrusive. They are drawn in a similar way to orienteering maps and are therefore designed purely for navigation, dispensing all the uneccessary information that often clutters Ordnance Survey Maps. The 1:40 000 scale is perfect giving enough detail to allow for accurate navigation, while being on a large enough scale for the surrounding landcape to be easily recognisable.
