Product DescriptionThese shoes have been my faithful travel companions for 250,000 miles over five continents during the past three years.
(Not this exact pair, of course; the pair you see here is new.)
They’ve seen me through the desert around Jaisalmer and the tropics of Brunei Darussalam; there’s probably some red clay from Provence still lodged in the treads.
At the same time, they’ve never raised a disapproving eyebrow on a maître d’ or concierge, either.
The reason is, they combine advanced running shoe technology with Italian style, cobbled in world-class natural-finish suede. (You can smell the distinctive richness.)
How many other truly serious approach shoes can make such a claim with a straight face?
Good luck.

Voted 2/5 | supportive. Feel like slippers, support like boots! I really like these shoes a lot. Great comfort and support. My only dislike is that they are a bit on the heavy side. Still lighter than boots, but there are approach shoes out there that weigh half as much. I've used them on approaches in the Flatirons as well as 12 mile slogs into Rocky Mountain National Park to climb Pagoda. Excellent tread grip, no slips/falls yet.
Update: So I've had these a year now. Some gripes: The rubber is coming apart, the stitching on the outside of the shoe, above the arch, is coming undone. I haven't used these very much at all, and for the price paid, I expected them to last longer. My other gripe is that there is no loop so that you can attach them via a 'biner to your harness...and they're heavy. | | Posted Jul 13, 2007 8:43 pm |
