Product Description

This is a small book that details day hikes in the Flagstaff, AZ area.

It lists the following area hikes:

3 hikes for the Williams area

2 hikes for the Cocnino Plateau

2 hikes for the San Francisco Mountain area

4 hikes for the Elden Mountain and the Dry Lake Hills area

4 hikes for the general town of Flagstaff

5 hikes for the Lake Country area

Each hike includes a general description, distance, average hiking time, type of trail (i.e. dirt, paved, etc.), trailhead elevation, high point, elevation gain, water availability, best season to hike it, a list of topo maps that pertain to the hike as well as directions to the trailhead. Even after all of that information, it gives you a more detailed description of the hike as well as key mileage points.

These series of books are great for short day hikes. Very well written, small enough to carry with you anywhere, and nicely detailed directions and descriptions.
