around awesome pant! Really light and feels great. The full zip feature is awesome and is great for when it gets hot so that you can vent. I use this not only in wet conditions, but also for spring skiing, snow climbs, ice climbs, etc. Waterproof and light with a great guaruntee, it doesn't get better.

jschrockgood as a backup...

Good as a light-weight backup to throw in the bottom of the pack, but I've found PreCip doesn't breath well enough to wear while I'm pushing hard on a winter/spring climb. These pants usually stay home now - unless I want insurance in case of a freak summer rainstorm. I'm a convert to softshells for use in almost all conditions - even typical wet NW US conditions - so it's softshell pants or shorts for me...
