wetsponge007Great boots

Voted 5/5

I have used these boots for a few hikes now, and a little class 3 scrambling. The hikes I used them on ranged from 6 miles round trip to 8 miles. So far I love these boots, I had a pair of the La Sportiva trango s evo's but find these boots to be better. The nice thing about these over the sportiva's is weight, and the construction is great on these boots. They're crampon compatible with my Grivel G12 crampons, and would work with any heel bail/toe basket (newmatic)crampon or strap on crampon. I normally get blisters like crazy on my heels, but have yet to get a blister with these.

I purchased these boots for a climb up Mt. Hood this spring. In the months leading up to the climb I broke them in on short hikes and a few moderate climbs around Colorado. Honestly, I was a bit worried about fit and developing blisters on Hood even though there hadn't been any problems in any of the lead-up hikes. These boots have turned out to be absolutely incredible - they provided great support (I have weak ankles due to numerous strains), were warm and comfortable. Worked great with my crampons (Petzl). I would recommend these to anybody. The best thing about these boots was that I didn't think or worry about them the entire climb. Perfect.

I've been quite happy with my pair. I've used them for long mileage weekends in the Sierra, used on terrain up to 5.7 slab in the Cascades, and have even done a bit of ice climbing with them using my G12 crampons. After 6 months of abuse, they have continued to hold up well. I tend to have difficulties finding boots that fit well and these have worked out great.

I love mine. I don't have anything to say about them, because they simply do their job. I don't notice them.
