AlpinistWell written

Voted 5/5

This is the primary guide book for the Emigrant Wilderness Area and adjacent areas in Northern Yosemite and proposed Hoover Wilderness Area. It is a trail guide, not a climbing book. However, it's invaluable for planning trips to this region of the Sierra Nevada.

The book contains a detailed description of the trails, camp sites and lakes, along with geological information and history of the area. It's well written and enjoyable to read.
