Voted 4/5 | The North Face Mountain Jacket is true to its name--a legit mountaineering jacket. It is tough, weather resistant and sheds weather. It has valuable features like good venting and an inner skirt to keep the snow out while glassading. The big downside is the weight. You pay the price for features and durability. I have also had to reapply the DWR finish about once a year. | | Posted Mar 24, 2004 4:06 pm | | pippo52 | Untitled Review
Voted 4/5 | The North Face Mountain Jacket is a quite good jacket. The weight and the packsize are realy a problem. The hood fits over a helmet; rolls up and secures with no-snag Velcro® when not needed but when rolled it isn't confortable for your neck!

Voted 3/5 | Good jacket. Keeps you warm and dry, but its far to heavy and its pack size is to large. | | Posted Aug 2, 2005 10:15 am | | AltitudeSickness | Best Shell Ever Made
Voted 5/5 | I have owned this jacket for years, have worked it to death, abused the crap out of it. Dirt, Gravel, Ice, Snow, all of it and more, this jacket has passed the test with flying colors. Easy to revive the Gore-Tex with proper care after the abuse. Especially love the flexibility of the hood and zippers. When hot it lets you vent under the arm pits, when cold it lets you seal yourself in for warmth and comfort. | | Posted Jan 4, 2008 9:43 pm |
