Dow WilliamsOR Prophet Glove

Voted 5/5

I have used their Vert for years as my primary ice climbing glove, but this improvement over the Vert is huge. I first read about them doing the seamless insert and the technology they used to do it. Made a ton of sense to me. Once I got my hands on them, they are truly bomber. Will Gadd and I both employee the same concept of using a deleterious pair of gloves for each pitch of ice. Keeps our hands from sweating, yet warm. I also put in hand warmers in the waiting gloves if it is really cold. So carrying 3 or 4 of these pairs for 3-5 pitches of ice is worth it and not much if any more weight than trying to switch between a light pair and heavy glove and/or mitt. Two thumps way up on this one. Expect other manufactures to follow suit soon for their hard core line.
