A very warm vest for keeping your core nice & toasty. The neck collar is thick and comfortable to keep that arctic chill out. I've used this product extensively climbing ice and as general winter apparel in Colorado's Front Range where I live. Combined with a good fleece for your arms, it makes a great warm top layer when there's no danger of rain or wet snow. No need for a shell! Very tear resistant too as I accidentally stepped on it with crampons and it didn't puncture! Finally, the stuff sack that is included with the jacket makes it a sinch to pack. The vest compresses really small so as not to take up too much room in your pack.
