Voted 4/5 | These pants work well for my use...winter mountaineering. I have not used them skiing or boarding but for climbing, they work great. I have used them on extremely cold days up to ~14,000' in deep snow and snowshoeing with heavy loads for winter camping. They have kept me dry and warm all the time. The leg vents area nice feature when it gets too warm. The front pockets zip and there is one front pocket on the right front thigh that closes via velcro. My only gripe is that the snow cuff is not adjustable so they don't really fit too tightly over my boots and w/o gaiters, you'll get some snow in your boots. | | Posted Mar 1, 2007 6:16 pm | | jmeizis | Don't Kick Holes In Them | |
Voted 3/5 | I like the design of the pants. I wish the internal gaiter was adjustable otherwise there's no point to having it because I need gaiters still. The vents on the legs could be longer. Also, be careful with the crampons, I kicked a hole right through them like a hot knife through butter. | | Posted Dec 7, 2007 5:57 pm |
