Product DescriptionA common wrist compass in PX's. Silva also has a similar (or identical) model. It's light, small yet readable, and the primary advantage to it is the quick readings you can get by putting your wrist up to take a bearing or shoot an azimuth. A step up from the button compasses some folks put on their watchbands.
They typically sell for $10 dollars.FeaturesBearing window, luminous dial (light-reactive, not tritium), either a leather or more commonly velcro wristband.

Voted 5/5 | Use this for everything, and as a sort of backup compass. I don't do anything that requires greater precision. The only downside I could scrape up is the strap isn't especially strong, with the welded part starting to come off after about 3-4 years of use, and plenty of time in the field. Might be able to re-rig it with 1" webbing, though it will be tight. | | Posted Nov 19, 2007 1:51 pm |
