Tern The Tern is perfect for the alpinist who requires the utmost efficiency for climbing, or the backcountry skier who is trying to minimize pack size. The techniques we use making sleeping bags for the world's most extreme conditions have helped us in building this highly refined mummy bag made to go almost anywhere. The Tern is a true winter bag, with an oversize collar, hood roll, head-to-toe differential cut and a side block baffle. Our unique compound draft tube functions like double draft tubes do, but nests tighter (using a convex and concave shape) to seal out drafts and reduce weight. Our quality is legendary and has received high marks on every review. Backpacker Magazine has this to say about the Tern. Check it out for yourself! Voted 5/5 | Excellent light weight bag. Packs really small which is a help in fitting all your gear in your pack. I have bived out in this bag often and have never suffered a leak. Mine is a Tern 2 with and extra bit of loft. The people at FF will add whatever amount of loft you wish. So you can improve your temperature rating easily. Zipper while of good quality can tend to stick on the baffles that run up the lenght of the bag, but I have had this issue with other bags. Really I have no complaints about this bag. | | Posted Mar 25, 2002 9:17 am | | freespirit | Great winter bag | | Hasn't voted | I ordered mine with Epic fabric and overstuffed. Super comfortable, not as weatherproof as my Pertex Endurance bag. The feathered friends quality is excellent. | | Posted Apr 23, 2008 12:20 pm |
