These shoes rock. They are comfortable and keep you cool when it is hot. the soles are sticky and allow for great grip on all sorts of terrain. The snug upper fit keeps debree out and the drawstring keeps it tight on your foot with little adjusting. Recomended

These are really great for scrambling and could be used throughout an entire climb. The footbed and feel remind me of the fit of a good moccasin, with the stickiest articulated nubs on the sole. The Nubuck leather looks dainty, but mine have taken quite a beating and still holding up nicely. The lacing system is a little weird, but I love it as it allows for easy on and off. They breathe very well too, as they have mesh panels along the top of the foot, you can feel the breeze through them.

Ive taken these to the Black Hills, Michigan's UP (summer), and Red Rocks in Nevada and they performed great in all locations, though really good on sandstone. Cant rave enough about these.

I really really REALLY loved them at first, took them on a 20 or so mile walk after my feet were destroyed wearing old Salomons that were past their due.

I don't like them anymore. The rubber that extends upwards to cover the toe peels off constantly. There is nowhere to stash the shock cord laces like there is on the Salomon XA Pro 3D's (which I'm getting again next time), the neoprene makes it nearly impossible to wear them barefoot without taking 10 minutes to take them off and put them on, etc. I guess I'm picky, but the Salomon's kicked these things bigtime. 2 out of 5.
