Voted 4/5 | They're pretty good shoes. My toes hurt like hell after 7 hours of climbing but I guess that's to be expected with a lot of climbing shoes. | | Posted Dec 27, 2005 10:10 pm | | rickford | Untitled Review
Voted 4/5 | These shoes perform well. Their design and fit is almost identical to the 5.10 Galileo. (I walked around the climbing shop for several minutes trying to decide which to buy!) Two of my friends, a guy and a girl, both experienced substantial pain on their big toes. I never had such pain, though. The shoes are well padded- they fell like pillows on your feet when you first buy them. The two straps cynch well too. My only complaint is the rubber. I have only had these shoes about 3 or four mounths at most. The rubber on the toes has worn away leaving two gaping holes on each shoe. I climb a lot though- about 2-3 times a week or more- mostly in gyms. However, I NEVER walk around the gym or the crag without first removing my shoes. The 5.10 rubber seems to last a bit longer- but it is hard to say for sure. | | Posted Jan 22, 2006 8:38 pm | | wetsponge007 | Not for me
Voted 3/5 | I rented a pair of these from the local gym. The first thing is the sizing is somewhat off, I normally wear a size 12, but I had to rent a 13 and my toes were still curled up. As for climbing ability, I am new, but they worked I did have a couple of momments were I wasn't confident in my foot placement. I prefer lace up since I can get a better fit without the pain. Shoes are highly personal so they may be better for you than for me. One last thing I had to take them off to move to different climbs as my feet were aching. | | Posted May 9, 2007 6:59 pm | | stepho | Gym shoes
Voted 4/5 | I used to rent these at my local climbing gym. They are an okay shoe. Since I have wide feet the make a very comfortable fit. Great for jamming smearing. somewhat low durability. | | Posted Jun 1, 2008 10:12 pm |
