A lightweight pulley intended for self rescue and light hauling, the Oscillante features pivoting side plates for ease of slipping onto the rope. Nylon sheave runs smoothly for general purpose use; pulley has a working load of 2 kilonewtons and a breaking strength of 16kN. Fits climbing ropes up to 13 millimeters in diameter.

Best lightweight (dependable) pulley I have found for setting up the Z system or otherwise....there is one lighter option, but hate to depend on it myself. Everyone should have two of these on alpine ascents with partners. If solo, just extra weight.

I personally think these are the best pulleys for what they are intended for. As Dow pointed out, they are excellent for alpine and glacier climbs.



Superlightweight, easy to use and simple. They are always a part of my glacier travel gear and are super easy to use in pulley assisted rescue situations.



Not at all suitable for big wall hauling or other heavy hauling.
