Hat For All Seasons w/ Liner - The Hat For All Seasons is the only hat we know of that can handle nearly any weather condition an outdoors person might encounter. All of its components together make it waterproof, windproof, warm, and snug-fitting, while the ability to change things around take care of most of your noggin's other needs no matter the weather. A seam-sealed Gore-Tex fabric shell provides total waterproof protection and a plastic-stiffened bill adds protection from sun and snow. Inside, a WickLine lining keeps you comfortable and our patented Cinch-Band internal adjustment system ensures a precise fit. The Cinch-Band also threads through the optional Moonlite Pile Liner (works solo as a helmet liner) to make a one-piece hat for the coldest conditions. Earflaps can be up or down and snug down with a simple tug to seal out drafts while a removable chin cord adds windy day security.

Voted 5/5

This is simply the most versitile hat made.
Mine has been with me through countless trips( I bought it around '99 ). From 100 degree F monsoon conditions, to -20ish F dry & windy alpine conditions.

The liner is equivalent to the warmth of a 300 wt fleece hat.
When coupled with the shell nothin' can get in. Wind driven snow, brutal artic like winds..you catch my drift :)

Wind protection - 5 stars
Precip pro - 5 stars
Warmth - 5 stars
Fit/Features : 5 stars (the toggle and the ability to fine tune make this hat fit like a glove, I was even able to fit a balaclava underneath the shell AND liner, no prob!) , The extra wide/long brim is perfect for the blinding glare off of snow etc.

If I had to go on a 6 month trip to India, and live/play through conditions from -20 to 100+ F. If there is one hat I could and DID take on such a trip, this would be it :)

*note, I visited OR's website to get the specs, and could not find the hat! They were recently bought out by Nordstroms, I'm sure a fashion company will follow. good time to grab one on sale maybe?! :)
