This winter bag sports 8 1/2" of massive loft to keep you thermally content all night long to -20F. The two Interlocking Draft Tubes are thickly filled with down and are constructed entirely of DryLoft™ fabric to ensure weatherproofness. A 3-Dimensional down filled collar surrounds your neck and it too is made with all DryLoft™ fabric to protect the insulation from your frosty breath throughout the night. The hood is large enough to fill around your face and provide a ruff for your forehead. Its DryLoft™ shell provides all the weather protection you need in a snow cave or single wall tent and the foot section is sewn with 2.4 oz. taffeta for added protection when gear is stored there. This bag is available in a 5'6" length, but you may want to size it longer so you can fit gear at the foot.Images |
Reviews | mtsurveyor | Puma SDL - what a great bag! | |
Voted 5/5 | I've had my Western Mountaineering Puma SDL for 7 or 8 years. This bag is wonderful! I've slept comfortably in 50 degree weather in Japan to -25 degree temperatures in Montana! Down is so forgiving in warm temps! The Dryloft has kept it dry even in drippy snow caves. The shoulder baffle design is great and keeps drafts out completely. The zipper rarely binds up due to the stiffer fabric lining it. ***There is a trick to stuffing these Dryloft bags quickly! Turn the bag inside out before you stuff it! The air will pass through the inner fabric much easier! This bag has been worth every penny. | | Posted Mar 21, 2007 10:23 pm |
