Voted 5/5 | These snowshoes are nearly identical to the Atlas 830 model but are designed shorter and one inch narrower for smaller framed people. They are excellent in ease of use, load distribution, and are perfect for day trips, peak bagging, or winter backpacking. | | Posted Jan 7, 2005 6:35 am | | Karl Helser | Untitled Review
Voted 5/5 | I bought my first pair of shoes Five years ago. They were the Atlas 825's. I now also have a pair of 1030's for the deep stuff. I'm on my third pair of 825's and only had to buy one pair.......Hmmmm How can any company stay in biz with such a great warranty! "Lifetime" | | Posted Jan 10, 2005 9:39 pm | | johnfarl | Untitled Review | | Voted 3/5 | I have had a pair of these for 3 seasons. This year the rivets that hold the binding mechanism to the frame wore through. This is due to design flaw. The rivets are on the bottom of the frame so they are subject to wear when crossing rock ice or other hard surfaces. It is a good thing Atlas has a lifetime warranty. I have had mine repaired once and expect another 10 repairs during my life. | | Posted Mar 27, 2005 8:38 pm | | Mountain Impulse | Good Performance
Voted 4/5 | I've had mine for several years and they've worked well for general over-all use. They grab well even on relatively steep traverses. They are large in size compared with some other similar models. Once in a awhile, I've needed to exert extra elbow grease to get my boot snug into the front of the binding. But on the whole, I've been pleased with the 825. | | Posted Sep 17, 2007 7:27 pm |
