Their simple "half of R1®" pullover insulates, dries in a flash, stretches and provides a comfortable next-to-skin fit. The front zip is offset at the chin for greater comfort. The fit is trim and contoured.

Regulator® R.5 Minimalist is a fast-wicking, quick-drying transition layer for moderate to cold temperatures.

I have used my R5 in every season but find I like it best as the only layer when its cool weather. Its often my only layer other than a light wind shell. It allows me to keep the sun off the neck. It also wicks very well. A worthy addition to my gear closet.

I climb and ski in Canada 365 days a year, but don't wear big jackets. I am the zen master of layering...and the one layer that goes on all trips, all the time is this shirt. There will never be a better one for me and I have said this now for 3 years. Of course a zip is a must no matter, you have to be able to make a temperature adjustment without removing your pack. This material just wicks and dries better than any other I have used. It is tough as nails and feels good as well. They have a thinner version, but I prefer to wear a short sleeve tech t-shirt and then this R.5 as my absolute base, winter or summer. Cheers!
