The uncoated packcloth leg section deflects moisture and shields your shins when pushing through dense undergrowth. A coated packcloth foot section and an elastic bottom edge prevent snow, mud, and debris from entering your boot. The 1 inch wide Velcro® front closure allows you to put this gaiter on quickly when it’s needed. The top closure uses a webbing strap and low-profile cam buckle to keep a positive seal without restricting circulation.

Voted 4/5 | For the price, these gaiters do the job. Since they are not totally waterproof, they're best with snowshoes or skies in snow. For hiking or bushwacking in dry weather, they're great. They come in four sizes, so make sure you take your boots to the store when purchasing to get the right fit.

Voted 4/5 | I am reviewing the OR Rocky Mountain High gaitors (Gore-Tex). These gaitors have proven to be very reliable at keeping me dry despite wet conditions. However, they are not idea for winter use. The reinforcements by the ankle are a bit thin for potential encounters with crampons, and I have a tough time getting them to fit over my Koflach Degre boots.
